A metasearch engine (metasearch for short) is a search engine that queries search results from other search engines and compiles them into independent search machines in the process. The meta-search engine does not have its own search engine index. The results are automatically evaluated by the metasearch engine and presented to the user as a result vie the used search engine such as Google or Yahoo.
